In order to assess clinical efficacy of an integrated use of Valusal drug manufactured by joint-stock company «Grindeks» for treating patients with degenerative-dystrophic diseases of joints during the period of exacerbation with moderately expressed reactive synovitis and pain syndrome, 70 patients underwent multimodality treatment and examination. The results of the above study demonstrated preference of a combination of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in the form of a systemic use of Meloxicam and Ketoprofen local gel Valusal in combination with such a chondroprotective drug as glucosamine sulfate for treating exacerbations and reactive synovitis in patients with early stages of osteoarthritis for safety and speed of achievement of a clinical effect. If there was no need to increase the dose of the systemic NSAID, the clinical efficacy of treatment in the study group was reliably better by the speed of pain relief, reduction of painfulness and oedema, as well as by an increased functional activity of the patients.References
