Abstract

The purpose of the present work was to clarify the state of the median nerve during the provocative test. In order to visualize the state of the above nerve, ultrasonography with help of ULTIMA-PRO-30 supersonic diagnostic apparatus (Ukraine) was performed. The sonographic study was carried on in 5 female volunteers on both hands (10 hands) at rest and during the provocative test. Longitudinal and axial images of the median nerve were analysed. On the basis of the ultrasonographic data it was found out that during the performance of the provocative test, suggested by us, the median nerve became flattened and shifted towards the radial side.
