According to the results of a clinical-morphological analysis, histological and semiquantitative morphometric investigations of 20 long-bone biopsies from patients with different types of imperfect osteogenesis (IO), pathomorphological peculiarities of the bone tissue, rate of pathological changes and correlations between different clinical- clinical-laboratory and quantified morphological indices in this disease were studied. Variations were registered in the occurrence of such bone pathology signs as development of the compact substance spongiosis, prevalence of some type of the bone tissue, i.e. compact or reticulofibrous, prevalence of signs of the phase of osteoresorption or osteogenesis of reconstruction cycles, presence of bone regenerates. On the basis of correlations in pairs of gradation indices, a reliable negative relation with the tightness parameter, which approached its mean value, was established between peculiarities in drug therapy of IO patients and prevalent signs of bone tissue reconstruction phases.
