Abstract

Stress-strain states on a mathematical model of the “endoprosthesis – radius” system were studied with help of the finite element method. Behaviour of the model was assessed under loads for extension and flexion. It was proved that bones with oval and triangular sections were more effective for response to loads and cooperation with endoprostheses, which had a combined type of connection. It was found out that use of an additional fastening in the form of a bone sleeve or petals made it possible to distribute any load evenly on all implant fixation elements.
